Tristan Tzara.
This was for a project at university. This module allowed me to explore book design, planning and typesetting. This gave me the opportunity to understand how to generate a visual narrative in relation to existing content. The content I was refering to was the DADA Manifeto By Tristan Tzara.  I was tasked to re-interpret the traditional form of reading and explore typographic hierachy asscociated with editorial design.
I designed my editorial publication around the theme that DADA means nothing, there is no hierachy and that it is trying to break from the norm. My publication challenges the ordinary way of reading, with squewed text, rotated text, abstract imagery, breaking the grid and no sense of hierachy. My design for the was inspired by the characteristics of type in the early 20th century.
